Workshop SurfAM2

After a successful kick-off event in 2019, the 2nd SurfAM Workshop from 15-16 June 2021 in Dresden will address numerous important topics of post-processing and surface modification of additive-manufactured components.

The tailor-made program sequence is of high interest to both existing and new participants and deals with relevant issues of surface modification and finishing of AM components in the following areas:

• Introduction to the additive processes,
• Coating process,
• Mechanical finishing of AM components,
• Automation and hybrid approaches,
• Use Cases / selected application examples,
• Discussion with experts,
• Cost considerations,
• Practice Session,
• And new finishing processes and approaches.

The workshop is jointly organized by the European Research Society for Thin Films (EFDS) and the AGENT-3D consortium members Fraunhofer IWS and TU Dresden.
